I drove a mondeo from Vic to WA just before the border got closed.
Very nice car. 65,000km, 2008 model. But, I can't park it without the brakes grabbing, it's like there is no way to ease them on, so passengers head are rocking forward with the brakes' application. Is this a euro thing? We all hate it. Shame, cause everything else is great. Can I put a bit of bulgy brake hose to soften the initial bite? :-)

Get a brake fluid flush, or do it yourself.
Maybe old fluid, rubbish in the lines? |

I see the sense there. New oil could help.
This car has been like this since new, which is why I thought it might be intentional.

Euro brakes pads are soft, giving a great initial bite on the pedal. Is this the sort of feeing you are referring to?
Different harder pads will fix this issue if that is the problem.

Yes that's is what it's like. Hard to smoothly park. Thanks for the suggestion

If it’s not something you are used to it can take some time. I went from bendix general CT pads in my Focus st to some softer bremtecs which have brilliant initial bite. No issue most of the time, sometimes catches me out as I usually drive an Iload. But I’d rather the feel of the softer pad to be honest. Each to their own.
