Default Windscreen wipers randomly stop working

2010 Mondeo Mk 4 TDi 2.0 Front wipers will work normally then randomly stop mid sweep then sometimes start again but other times not.
Have tried several wiper motors and wiper switches also the service manual checks and I am stumped any ideas or suggestions please.

Have you gone through the testing process and procedures in https://fordforums.com.au/wsmpub/mb66/501-16.html Especially Section 601-16-14 onwards ?

Yes was working on the pinpoint test F which kind of suits my issue, it points to a replacement motor which I have tried and now have 3 secondhand motors which randomly stop. also swapped out the wiper switch which also doesn't help. I rang ford today to get the car scanned and they have no time until next month. Im now looking for any mechanic with the genuine ford scan tool on the Gold Coast (Mudgeeraba) if there is availability sooner.

took wiper stalk off which was easy and undid circuit board and gave contacts light gentle rub with wet and dry paper till they were shiney and viola!all works as should!
Goods quality contact cleaner spray sprayed on those contacts should also work and you might even be able to spray some in and work the switch back and forth forth several (OK many) times with with ignition off then allow a few minutes to dry before testing avoiding the need to dismantle it. https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/...0g/612000.html or https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/...=en_AU&start=2 or even https://www.supercheapauto.com.au/p/...=en_AU&start=1 etc
