Seems that the BA is starting to fade a little in sales. ALtho the AU was savaged and the BA lavishly praised, the Falc vs commy shares are now at almost AU levels.
And the less said about Fairlane and LTD the better Ford really have alot to think about over the next 12 months! |

Great graphs there
Just as a comparison, Ford is kicking butt here in NZ where they are normally 3rd after Toyota & Holden. This year they have a substantial lead over Holden and are also leading Toyota : Calender Year Figures Ford 4486 Toyota 4331 Holden 3810 Some of this I believe is down to Territory _2: Ford has beaten Holden every month this year. |

i think the main problem is that the XRs and GTs are all very nice looking cars but the rest of the falcon, fairmont and fairlane range are very bland, i mean it even hard to tell the difference between these three sometimes.

Buy a Ford Ute, we can win this part of the battle....
Ford deny that the Territory is costing Falcon sales, but the graph shows it is.. Thanks Russ, for a good quick detailed look at the lot..

good to see that more $300k+ mercs than LTDs are being sold
Back to the drawing board Ford. Fairmont/Fairlane/LTD = joke in comparison to competitors.

As I have mentioned many times before, the Territory has stolen many Falcon sales.

LTD is behind Caprice by quite a bit. I agree with what some ppl have mentioned, the Territory is hurting sales. Of course, they are in the same showroom, and when ppl look at the Ford Falcon (the Futura in particular, and Fairmont i guess) the Territory looks like great value for the added space! I know when i was buying my car, i saw another Salesmen showing people the BA then move along to the Territory...
And as with the Fiesta... i think ford have to change their marketing plan! Its really obvious they could made at least 300 more sales a month.... but they are sticking to their target which was 400/month... however the new Swift has already outshot the Fiesta, without winning any awards, and with a smaller engine then the Fiesta (although, with ABS on the base model, which LX doesnt have). You only have to look at the Barina for this... they have no abs on base models as well, but are selling 400 more / month, even though the quality of their product isnt as good! But yea, Ford has to do more with advertising... that ad with the Fiesta, Territory, and BA in the showroom saying its Award winning i dont think does anything in my opinion... its all computer generated! Lift your game Ford! : Oh, and hopefully Ford have got it right with the NEW focus!!!! Marketing better be good.... we need the sales!

What the figures don't show is that Ford has been at or over 100% factory capacity for a long while, and it's now really model mix of Falcon, ute and Territory that can affect the sales figures.
More Territorys built = less Falcons built.
