Default 3.45 LSD for an EA

can somebody tell me if a 3.45 LSD from an EF/EL will fit in an EA? if the whole housing wont go in, can i use the center and axles from an EF/EL?

Yep, as far as i know, you can transplant the centre and axels...

If you swap the whole diff over, you have to consider that the EF-ELs have a different handbrake cable mounting to the EA-ED diffs. So swapping the gears themselves would be best

Also the lower trailing arms are different. The mountng point on the diff side is alot wider so you will need to get EF trailing arms put in or get EF bushes pressed into the EA arms. So yeah it's better to get the gears and axels swapped over rather than the whole diff housing etc...

ok, thats very good, wasnt sure if the axles would go in ok. is it a simple job of taking out the axles and centre and bolting in it back together with the new stuff? or is there shimming/adjustments required? how much would i be looking at to get a diff place to do it? thanks

5-700 for a good place to do it.. im not sure about the 2 pinion to 4 pinion i think it will be fine if you are converting the centre axles and gears

Dunno where you went, mine cost ~$170.

Well, $336 for two diffs at once that is, the 2nd diff being a mate's which is under his Falcon now.
