AFAIK the throttle drive motor and position sensor is needed for the computer to run the engine, and cant be removed.
But, if you are using an aftermarket ECU, just remove the actuator and replace with an aluminum plate. Extend the shaft through (prob in a bearing) and fit a cable operated cam from whatever you want. Should work fine. I think! Or try a tuner who sells the 80mm throttle bodies and have them do it for you? Blue Power (Chris) sells them doesnt he? BTW, good luck with the project. A Boss 290 in a Cobra sounds awesome! |

I've got a standard throttle body in the shed with the servo motor & throttle position sensor blanked off. It's got the shaft protruding through the side with an arm for a cable set-up. It's also been bored out to an 80mm, with butterfly. Regards AGRO. |

I can machine the standard TB to take the bigger butterfly, and/or make a new shaft to extend out of the side of the TB. Regards AGRO. |
