Last night I finally took the EF for a run down the 1/4 at AIR. I am happy with the better that expected results (it was my first time out as well)
1st run - 15.0 @ 91.3 2nd run - 14.8 @ 94.94 3rd run - 14.9 @ 93.8 4th run - 14.8 @ 91.3 Aside from the 1st run when I didnt really know what I was doing the launches were clean enough but I had to hold back big time so I didnt light up the rears . 60 foot times were 2.4's. Here are a few movs of the runs thanks to Grants camera work and editing (each are around 2MB). here and here(guess he didnt appreciate the 6 cyl comments I made before the night )

Dont sell your self short mate. You had 2.2 60's.
Damn good MPH there 95mph, showing some genuine BHP there!! I think the chiptorque helps a hell of alot. Your 95mph vs my 89mph with the same induction/exhaust/cam package!! (your head is ported but i think its the chiptorque at work). oh yeah, get a 3.7:1 LSD!!

yeah, but on the 2.2 runs I was shifting all over the place and lost the advantage on the run so they ended up slightly slower ET's. I found it really hard to concentrate on the shift points for some reason. Ill get myself a shift light before next run so I dont have to think on the track.
edit: oh yeah - and I need that LSD

Great Stuff! Some nice times there and a good mph. With more practice you'll see the those ETs tumble ;)

Thanks for the comments everyone. It was a good feeling to realise the potential of the car after building the engine up from a bare block (first engine I have built too). Im looking forward to seeing what is left in it when I have a good diff and more practice.

95mph is the key to the equation. The motor is up to the task no worries. Jam a 3.7:1 LSD under the back and watch the sun 14.5's roll in. Start cutting 1.9 lights and you will be in business.

walkinshaw i think its more to do with the fact that he has a manual rather than a chiptorque chip

FPVWEPN: he's talkin about the MPH, which should be fairly similar, only thing effecting it massively would be the chip.

Hey Stockstandard, I nearly made it to AIR on the w/end but had a slight inconvenience along the way (see other thread) It woulda been good to see you run and maybe run against you! You'll probably whip my ***, but I just love running down the1/4. Maybe next time.......

It would have been good to run against something I had a chance against. 3 of the 4 cars I races were sub 12s cars and the other was a gen3 :(
What time were you expecting? Really sux to hear about your injuries and car.

At the moment I just hope the car comes back looking OK! As for times, I have NFI, any idea for 127rwkw, 4spd auto & 3.45 LSD?

He did cut 2.2's. With a decent diff and more tyres 1.9 60's are possable
