Default Best Sounding Injected V8

Putting all bias aside, what do yall think is the best sounding injected V8.

Personally I think the BOSS wins hands down, 2nd now dont shoot me for this fellow Ford boyz.....the Holden 5.0L :. Ive heard so many and I envy their grumble. 3rdly Fords 5.0L just not as loud and doesnt sound as tuff as the Holden donk but after hearing mine many will change thier mind:. 4thly LS1 their smaller predecessor kills them I reckon only a few have really caught my attention. LS2 havnt heard any with exhasuts yet.

Sorry, a Holden 5.0 sounds great, but an LS1 with an exhaust sounds even better.

Ford win the carbied V8 sounds, but Holden win the injected ones.

I'm not sure of the best but I've heard a commie 5L hooked up with a proper full length dual exhaust and it sounded mean for an injected car.

Their was a lexus v8 in some 4wd wagon I saw last year that had a mean growl to it too.

old style 427 S.O.H.C with mechanical fuel injection at full noise can not beat that.

Holden 5.0l shits on the BOSS and Ls1 for sound, but it all depends on the zorst...
One real nice sounding Ls1 would have to be motomk's SV8, that is one tough sounding car, that goes as good as it sounds.
The 5.0l windsor also sounds much better than the BOSS :

Phil, have you had a look at MOTO'S exhaust :lookedat:

That exhaust looks to good to be hidden under any car
The exhaust is a work of art

I love the sound of my boss....but the Holden 5.0L has a gem of a note to it...particularly with a decent zorst and some work done to it

Any V8 is music to the ears but the 5.0L must just have the right firing order to make it really stand out

4.6L Mustang - in particular the Budwieser Mustang that John Bowe drove in the GT Production series... That was the tuffest sounding injected 8 that I have heard!

I voted for the 5.0 Windsor.

Oh yes, I too think the Windsors sound better than the current modular Ford V8.

No complaints with my Windsor + Pacemaker extractors & 3" exhaust.
Whether it sounds the best or not, who knows. I honestly havent knowingly heard all the 8's listed.

Awesome noise they make! The previous M5 (V8) sounded pretty crisp too, and even nastier with aftermarket exhaust.

However, at the moment I am in love with the noise coming from a shiny new black A8 with full dual aftermarket exhaust, that I see nearly every day on George St. in the city. It's not stooopid loud because loud doesn't equal good, but the quality of the note and the growl are just pornographic. :

5L for me. Had a VQ Stato with exhaust and it sounded lumpy as hell.

Diff between my old LS1 with paceys and redback vs Boss with hurricane cat back, Boss has a nicer bark and a little bit more character to the note. Due to the threats of EPA defects, I couldn't go too wild.

I've heard some very nice 304s going around. I also don't mind the note of my Cressida (Lexus V8); others apparently don't either, as I was queried by a BA XR8 driver who asked what it was and said it "sounds very nice"
Can't comment on the Windsor, as ours is completely stock and is barely audible.
Probably the best I've heard is a local (Canberra) car which began life as an AWD Celica GT4 and is now a RWD twin-turbo Lexus V8! The sound that thing makes is just pure sex!

Hmmmmmmmmm.
Interesting topic this one. Well some people say you cant beat the old ford sound of the carb V8.
The thing is i played with my AU XR8 ute (200kw)and it sounded like the good old ford V8 (XW, XY)without the huge cams.
Now I have the boss and I think the combo on it sounds better than most in the injected range.
Any one that going to Heathcote on the 9th will get to hear my Boss full noise. I'm dropping the exhaust and all I can say is IT'S LOUD
