Alright, now as many of you know my car is sitting at a panel beaters awaiting repair. This has left me very bored, so ive been sitting at home looking at other cars that could tickle my fancy.
One thing I've always had a thing for is a wagon. Now, unless its an XR, I dont want to go backwards in models, so it has to be an EL, either Futura or Fairmont will be fine. Would be slammed on 19" Koya Octane, possibly wider at the rear with a bit more dish, custom grille, rear door handles taken off and smoothed over and boot(?) smoothed out also. Where would be a good spot for the rear number plate? Use an NF/NL number plate surround and put it in the bumper? Let me know what you guys think.  |

I have a thing for wagons...
I dont like it with no number plate at the back tho, I think you'd be better off keeping it there... ps. WTF are you doing online so late!

omfg this frigen mad man, i thought i was goin to be first to make e-series wagons pimp but if you pull this off that will be insane!!!, mabye no go on the rear thow....tooo smooth
do it man, wagons are s1k espesally if what yor goin to do to it!!! fordgirl, who sleeps on holidays...seriously :P edit: wtfs wit the holden sales yard? poor thing needs rescuing |

Weld up the rear doors, chop the top and replace the rear windows with steel... E-series pano!! ;)
Pimp out the interior and slam it with bags and some nice wheels... airbrushing is optional :P Either way, done up wagons are cool... any other time they are pretty lame :P

Wagons are cool, but I'm not a fan of the smoothed over tailgate on your design. It would also require a bit of mucking around because the number plate surround incorporates the handle. You'd need to use a system so you can still open the back.

Where the boot release is on a sedan controls the lock for the tailgate. It can be locked seperately to the doors. To actually open the tailgate, you need to unlock the tailgate and then use the handle hidden above the numberplate.
AU's and BA's use a boot release more like the sedans, so maybe you can use actuators from them. You'd probably still need somewhere to grab on to so you can open the tailgate.

when i was younger i hated them now i think it wouldn't be so bad,
slap some 17's 18's on it and you'd have a nifty wagon, and the beuty of it is if your lucky you'll get a manual one with ls already fitted. |

I was thinkin of keeping the whole cruiser theme goin.. white venetians in the back windows.. dayton 100 spokes?.. but then most old cruisers have bench seats with collumn auto.. yuk!
