Default G'day from new member

Hello everyone,
Thought i should say g'day. Ive been a member of AFF for quite a while but have only recently bought my first car and joined the eseries club. I live near Maitland in the Hunter Valley (NSW) and want to get involved in the cruises that are being planned for newcastle.

My car is an EL Fairmont in the colour regency. It has 175,000 km's on it and was well looked after by the previous owner so i am really happy with it as i only paid $3800 for it! Since buying her around 6 weeks ago ive done the following mods:
* Fitted EL tickford wheels
* Lowered it with King Lows and Monroe GT shockies
* Changed plugs and ignition leads with Topgun leads and NGK general plugs
* Installed K&N panel filter
* Fitted a V8 intake snorkel
* Changed rear section of exhaust with another of same diameter (2 1/4 inch) but missing the muffler (did this as i already has the exhaust section).
* Got a new head gasket put in, and full service
* Replaced interior light bulbs with blue ones
* Gave it one hell of a detailing!!

Future mods:
* 2 1/2 inch full system and extractors (dont know wat brand yet, undecided)
* Clear side indicators
* Better head unit

Unfortunately these mods will be a fair way off as i reduce my work hours for university which starts in just over a week.

Only problems ive had so far:
* Heater hose split the day after i got it out:
* Slight misfire (partially fixed with new plugs/leads)

Other than that its been an awesome car :sm_headba

Cheers,
Luke

PS. Im trying to sell the wheels that were on it, they are ROH's, see this thread-

Haha no mate, all the things i listed were done after i got it . .

The bloke who was selling it had 4500 on it, got him down to 3800! Its funny cause i saw a car that was identical besides colour in a car yard for 7000 on that same day. I got mine for almost half that :evil3:

Very, very nice mate!

Good luck with everything and welcome to the club!

Perhaps a mod can move this to the workshop builds section for you.

That's a bargain.

EL Fairmonts are probably the best E-series.
