Oh , Jack250 , you have never owned a Music Shop ! In 13 years I've heard EVERY version of "Smoke on The Water & Stairway To Heaven " you could ever come across : . Admittedly the originals were good but when you hear them 8-10+ times a day 6 days a week , it tends to wear a little thin , (sorry mate , no offence intended & said with tongue in cheek)

I'd get a couple of guys come in & one would do his version (full blast of course) & his mate would say " Naa , that's wrong , here I'll show ya " Mmm another version , another guy would say "Aww ya both wrong " Etc. Etc. I had to be nice about it as they were my Living .

One Music Shop in Sydney years ago had a BIG sign " When playing guitars DON'T Play "Smoke on The Water & Stairway To Heaven" , I think it was called Harry Landis Music .

I remember in Waynes World... Wayne heads to the music store, he picks up the Fender Stratocaster and starts to play stairway.
The salesman stops him, and points to the sign on the wall.
