Thought I'd throw up some photo's of what I got up to on the weekend.
All thats left is a bit of sanding and then cover with some vinyl. Should have them finished in the nexet week or 2 then its onto the parcell tray. |

Undecided, blue or black. I'm going to do the entire interior in blue and black (blue being the main colour)

Looks good. Any reason you didn't keep the factory mesh/speaker cover - I'm guessing because of space issues?

They fit nicely behind the factory grille, but ussing them would be too easy.

thats looks good mate that accually gives me a good idea for my doors.
Did u make a mdf plate that fitted to the old speaker wholes? then screw the new speakers to that? How big are those speakers?? And the way u have it set up there, would it be suitable to suit tweeters becide it? thanks in a advance |

I'll put a counter sunk screw through the face of the surround before covering, to line up with the screw hole in the door card. For spacers, just cut out a piece of mdf the same size as the factory speakers, and cut a hole in the centre for the new ones. You could easily make some to also fit tweaters, but best possition for them is in the a pillars.

oh, and the speakers are 5 1/4" I originally had 6.5" in there, but would of had to recover the entire door cards to keep them and go for the same look.
