hi guys, i bought a coil pack today from the wreckers, i told the guy i want a coil pack for my au3 xr6. he came out with an ef one. then getting home it looks like the wiring clip is different to mine and the mounting bolts look in different places. are these ment to fit au's?

They may fit AU1s, but not AU3s.

I would, but I have an AU2 (same coil pack as AU3, different to AU1) and an EL, which has a dizzy.

take it back to him he gave you the wrong item the AU1 has a different coil pack to the AU2/3 and i think you'll find the EF one is the same as the AU1 if you made it clear it was for an AU3 then it's his fault and don't be swayed by any no refunds policy he may have he has to refund if the item was not fit for the pourpose as you described or was faulty if he say he will only give a credit you have the right to say no to this but once you accept a credit you are stuck with it

thanks mate, yeh i said i want one for an au3 xr6, then pointed to my ute out the front and he goes yep, il have a look for one. then finding out it has different clip housing thing and the whole thing looks different, ive found an au2 one on ebay for what i paid for this one. so il take it back next weekend. thanks guys
