Damo has my old T5 but I don't know if he'd prefer the EF box. It would be easier to put the EF one into reverse at least.

thats interesting that you want to change back to an ea box. i know they have the quicker first gear.. but i thought an ef/el box would of had the gearing setup better and possibly run better times? but i guess not

I'll swap you for an ED T5 that has a horrible noise where 3rd used to be!!

If you can't find anyone to swap I might be interested in buying your EF T5.

I might be interested, I have a good condition EA t5. I think I just killed my auto on the way home tonight too. It won't select any gear but first, then it changes ok, ie in drive it just revs, you have to manualy select the gears. I was thinking of converting mine to manual on the weekend, already got the pedal box in. Would you be able to help me put the gearbox in my car and do the clutch etc, I have all the parts.. Do you have the facilities to do this ?

I'm probably gunna start pulling the transmission tommorrow... if only you posted this a week ago. :P Let me know asap.

If you're still looking for one I want to swap back to the later model box. Mines an 88 EA one in there atm and is in great nick. You can give it a test drive if you want. Only thing is i'll need a hand to swap the over, i'll even come down there (I work in melb anyway).
