How are they testing it? I didnt think emission could be properly tested easily, they want me to have a $3000 test in a laboratory to prove my car meets emissions :(

Straight from the Vic roadworthy book;

-Noise limit is 96 db. It's measured a metre back from the exhaust exit, I think.
-You need a cat in any car made after 1988, reguardless of petrol or LPG.
-NOS lines can be in place but the bottle can't be hooked up.

i got my exhaust tested by a mate and it was 90db and thats with a cat, i still got my Bottle bracket in the boot and the main line which runs to the solinodes which i removed awhile ago now. i dont understand how they do a polution test on the car cause all my polution gear is hooked up but the papaer says the car has to be tuned to manufactores standards which my car isnt.

i wouldn't worry about it Hus, I mean what can they get you for? It's not running aftermarket ECU which means it IS running to factory specs. There is nothing they can see in your engine bay that is gonna give anything away...no turbo etc. I don't see how it would fail the emissions test.

How did you go Hus? Have you had the test yet? How did they test your emissions?
