car alarm in 02 III ghia

Hi guys, I am new here so bear with me.

I have bought a car alarm, mongoose m80g. i am getting a guy at work to fit it for me. Now, i need some info or data that will assist him to install it for me.

Will the mongoose replace smartshield and the factory immobiliser?

If you would be even kind enough to provide a guide on how to get it working in my car.

Not sure if its the right place, but anyway.
