I've been having an intermittant problem with the power windows in my AU2...when you use the switches on drivers door or the relative passenger door, sometimes they won't work at all, other times they're fine. The glass moves up and down without any problem when they work, so I'm thinking that the switches are getting a bit tired (like the boot and fuel door release..you have to push really hard on these to get them to work). I've cleaned the glass runners in the door frames the best I could and sprayed silicone lube in the runners but that didn't do much at all...anyone have any ideas on this? Can the switches be dismantled and cleaned etc.? Cheers Linz.

The switches are prone to letting dust, dirt and other crape in there. Its just the way they have been manufactured.
