Default Brake Squeal

The brakes on my EA squeal under medium to heavy braking, what causes this? It is due for a roadworthy next friday (Well, it passed 2 weeks ago but now the government wants to look at it to insure the quality of the ACT Vehicle fleet or some sh*t like that out: ) Will it be an issue? What causes it? Is there a way to cure it without replacing anything :

Worst comes to worst i'll just replace them (pads), I still have 8 days before the test...

Thanks

Brake pads. Try taking the wheels off and wiping the rotors to get rid of the dust.

You can get some... anti-squeal stuff from the servo... not sure what it's called though.

Desqueak spray made by CRC, works a treat.
