UK AUII Ute owner needs help

Came across this on the Ford Australia forum and suggested the author might do better posting here, but he placed it in the Vans/Utes area. I'll ref the thread to this area. Dave.


Hi ... I am the proud owner of a Ford Falcon AU II ute here in UK it is one of only a dozen over here so ,naturally no bugger knows anything about em.My problem is the keyless entry ,both fobs fell apart and although i put one back together so the red light flashes when you press a button , the bugger still will not work the locks.Ihave followed handbook and tried to reset keyfobs by setting ignition in aux position and pressing rear demister 3 times in 5 seconds but nothing happens.I suspect reciever is knackered but i cant find the little bugger and if i did i wouldnt know what to do with it,can anybody help? You can buy new fobs for next to nothing to put them on the system you simply follow the steps in the book and it will erase all fobs and retrain the fobs you activate.

Procedure-:
Sitting in the car with all doors shut and all fobs to be retrained with you.
Begin with ign in the off (0) pos. turn to acc (1) position
press rear window demister button 3 times within 5 seconds. The door locks should cycle to indicate the system is in learning mode and at this point all fobs have now been erased from the system.
Press the unlock button on each of the fobs you wish to train to the system and then turn the ign to the off(0) position and the door locks should cycle to indicate that the fobs have been trained to the system.

A maximum of 4 fobs can be trained to the system at once.

I bought my one from eBay recently for about $40.

You can use the sedan remotes with the boot release ... it works on the utes. Trust me
