Hi all, today i removed my fascia in my s1 xr6 to mount my headunit but once it was all put back together the vent control knob wouldn't work! That is, i cannot select which vent to let air out of. Air only comes out of the front window demister, no matter which setting i have it on. i.e. if i have face vents selected it will only come out of the front window demister... I've checked the knob itself and it isn't stripped... I'm baffled, any help would be greatly appreciated!

you have probably knocked a vacuum line off from inside, time to pull it off again and have a look, good luck

I did a car a long time ago ( cant remember if it was my ED or not ).
Anyhow i remember there were letters on the vacuum switch/modulator which corresponded to the colours taped to the vacuum hoses. ( e.g y for yellow e.t.c. There should be something like that there any way.

Not to worry guys, the problem was fixed when the car was turned on (engine running that is). What a relief.. Thanks for your help.

I was actually going to ask whether you had the car running, i thought mine was stuffed one day, it was the same thing. No car running, no a/c out vents no vaccum to change vent position
