Hey guys just about to do a change on the Rotors and Pads on the AU (S1) was after opinions on what RDA Slotteds are like with QFM pads.
Current basic combo I have at the moment seems to shudder/hammer through the steering wheel under brakes at high temps/speeds. |

not sure on the pads, but i have rda slotted's all round and rda pads and find them very good. it is a great improvement over stock brakes that's for sure. the only thing is, the pads do seem to be fairly dusty, but they don't make a great deal of noise. if you haven't got the rotors yet, send a pm to FLOORED, he is from race brakes sydney and should give you a decent price on rotors and pads.
oh, just to add, i had only front slotted rotors for probably 3 years before getting rears and haven't had to change pads yet. and i'm not exactly easy on the brakes...discs still seem to be in very good condition and the best bit is no shuddering when braking |

QFM pads are possibly the best pads i've ever had
took off a set of taxi-grade pads off my AUII and put on some QFM pads hot damn do they make a difference! QFM pads are the best pads i've had since the old asbestos pads days to think of all the asbestos pads i've pulled off cabs, simply not knowing. aah those were the days.

Sweet, pricewise I hear they are not bad either. The hardest part seems to be finding a distributor for them in Brisbane. |

Yeah i don't know where you get them from. Bursons maybe?
No squeal, no dust, stop hard, right price, great pedal feel, made in QLD, suits me. Queensland Friction Materials pads all round and Queensland Ignition Leads on my AUII, i'm flying the flag for QLD.

What would one be looking at price wise for a set of these?

The pads are brilliant, I use them with rda rotors. I wouldn't use anything else now. They are about $60 and you can get them from ABS http://www.autobrakeservice.com.au/ they have them on the shelf.

Did a bit of thread mining, as I'd asked GK about these pads before:

Seeming people are looking at getting new brakes, should we try and get Floored to organise another group buy for RDA rotors?

What, is $60 for a set of pads too much? I bet you spend more on a tank of fuel.
Next thing will be windscreen wiper blades group buy.

I reckon they're great! Rda and QFM make a formidable combo.
I recently recommended them to a mate with a BA, he put the dimpled and slotted rda rotors with QFM pads on and he's still grinning from ear to ear. He can't believe how much of a difference they made to his car. I also love the fact that both companies are Australian too. GK

Mr Hardware sir, I wasn't implying about the possible savings one would get with a brake pad group buy - I was referring to the fact that these pads seem to be hard-to-find for some of us. So if a mass purchase of pads were to be organised (through somebody that can find them, such as yourself) to help out those that can't seem to find them, I'm sure some people would be appreciative! No need to go shooting other people's ideas down in flames..... :

I agree with Dave on this,
These pads are so hard to source down, especially for us people in the 'bush'

Geez, these pads sound the goods. Is there a model number for these or just one type does all? EDIT: I found the website http://www.qfmbrakes.com.au/performance_vehicle.html Looks like the HPX model is the way to go for me

it's cool dave, it was all tongue in cheek, so hard to convey sarcasm over the internet.
Yeah they are still awesome pads, had them for a few months now. http://www.qfm.com.au/images/QFMFlyer.pdf is their real website, the website you posted blueoval is for Quality Friction Materials, the WA distributor of Queensland Friction Materials pads. But still all good factually correct info.

yes, exactly the same. QFM WA is the WA distributor for QFM QLD pads.
only difference is in QLD the Q stands for QLD where as in WA the Q stands for Quality. Therefore, Queensland stands for Quality no matter where you are.
