It was just the "shiny bits/expensive/have to have thing that got me. Sorry for the confusion, lol.
It pays to buy the best for your car though, the better the quality, the better it lasts, etc.

Since were talking AU to ba/bf brakes ive got a few questions if anyone can help out.
Im looking at doing the rear brakes on mine and was wondering if the BA/BF front calipers are the same as the rear ones cos standard ba fronts have 298 x 28mm and the rears are 303 x 16mm so are the rear calipers more narrow but still the same size?? Also ive seen the BA/BF rear brake upgrade can have rotors up to 325mm does the standard ba/bf rear brake caliper accommodate this? If so i think ill be looking at doing this even if it means buying the bigger aftermarket drilled and slotted rotors but my car being a wagon does this still mean its the same as the sedans?

Front and rear will be different.
You need BA rear calipers, but apparently they fit AU2/3 pads, so if you already have good pads, you can use them in the BA ones. Then you just need the rotors.

How large can you go with the rotors on stock BA calipers with 18" rims?
