I have been up all night working and am tired as, but this post makes me smile, that ironing contraption looks the ants pants, and looks like it comes with cruise control, anti lock brakes and i bet it's even got trackion control there somewhere. I tried that whole ironing thing once, burnt the shirt and since then been banned from the iron and relegated to the garden area of the home. Now that didnt last long as the lawnmower wouldnt start and after an hour of cleaning plugs, and hitting the rip start i'd had enough, picked the mower up and threw it in the trailer walked inside, called a gardener and hav'nt looked back since. cheers for the great post Pete |

My day starts at 6am, a load of washing on kids brekky to be made dishes washed during the day- because i work from home, cleanin, washing more clothes ironing etc etc is done every day,and i may add that jodie works and does more than her fair share as well. ps- where i can i also do the repairs/maintenance to all three of the fords and my toyota work van. Now i dont need a medal or a chest to pin in on it is just that some of us mere males do put our hands up and do more than just mow the lawn. |

I do believe men do housework, just not MY man. I've got a defective one and want a replacement. Would any of you believe me when I say that I am the one who fixes the cars (or takes them to the mechanic), mows the lawn (3/4 of an acre with no ride on or tractor!), does the gardening, fixes the appliances, takes the garbage out, uses the drill/sander/hammer/saw etc, as well as ALL the housework? I don't even think my husband's seen our vacuum cleaner (and I've had it for 8 years). And what makes this truly sickening is that he is not working atm, he is in between contracts. Oh, although I do have to give him credit for cooking dinner a couple of nights a week, and actually maybe even hanging out a load of washing once a week. It's very difficult atm too because the kids are on holidays and make even MORE messes. You think they'd learn by now - PICK UP AFTER YOURSELVES. Why is this so hard?! And MASTER baby, I'm in lerve with you. Can your wife spare you on some kind of timeshare arrangement?!

Hahah, I think its pretty funny that someone has actually taken that pic though. I can see it would be for two reasons. Your wife bought you the jocks and thought you looked dead sexy, or option 2... its one of those rare "kodak" moments that she thought, OMG, i have to get a photo of this. (you actually doing the housework)
Either way, youre a brave man! Good to see you helping out! |

Yep we do, I do whatever needs to be done. Dirty washing basket overflowing=throw a load on. Dishes 10 stories high on the sink=wash the fukkers. My socks covered in dogs hair=vac the floor and so on. Truthfully if I didnt do most of the domestic duties round here the place would look like a tip face!! out: |

Not to sound sexist here, but i sounds like your missus isn't pulling her weight around the house. Good luck to anybody that can put up with that, i just booted my ex out for that sort of thing. I'm happy to help around the house, but i work full time, i'm not going to be a full time house b|tch as well!

lol @ sundrifter
if this forum had more female members you'd be so strung up by your testicles right now.... Ever since my girlybaby moved in with me here, my life has gotten a lot easier. there are now TWO people cleaning up, but still only 1 works.... It is very very hard to make a girl understand that both the man AND woman can work... |

Well. My fella is really good. He gets in and does plenty of work around the house without being asked to. He vacuums, mops, does washing, stacks the diswasher, cleans the kitchen, bathrooms etc... he just seems to see it as part of his job to help around like the rest of us. He also works full time as a mechanic and travels nearly two hours a day to and from work and he also takes the kids to school on the way to work and picks them up on the way home.
He is brilliant. As far as I am concerned, well I work full time too. As a tax lawyer, so thats no bucket of laughs either. Same travelling time to and from work as well. I also do heaps of housework, we pretty much share the above. I also do some outside stuff like gardening and I mow lawns quite happily, and I tend to be the one who washes the cars. Everything is pretty balanced around here, even the kids get stuck in sometimes! I cant complain much, since Ive got one of the best fellas going around. Theres some stuff he cant do which I tend to, and also plenty of stuff I cant do, which he does. And Kev, that picture is just awesome! Im going to try and catch Eamon wandering around with the vacuum cleaner in his jocks for a photo but I dont like my chances.... hehe. And I know about chics who wont work - my Mum refuses to work while she expects a certain lifestyle to be paid for by my Dad, but she also refuses to do housework and cooking... so Dad does the lot. No excuses for her, I think. I think plenty of fellas have it as hard with women as do women with fellas, in my opinion. Jac
