Default Rain,Sun,Rain, sick of Mowing grass already!

With about 1,1/4 acres i have to mow, the weather has me doing it 2 times a week just to make it look tidy. What gets me is that it can be dorment for so long even with the sun and rain during winter, and then go 'ape' in the summer.
We spread super in the main and hold yard at the beginning of winter but even where we didnt has the same growth.

My gripe:
Mowing grass twice = less drinking time :togo:

Tell me about it ... I just had to mow a few acres again yesterday afternoon ... It was mowed the previous weekend ... I swear it grows as quick as bloody Lucerne Hay (2-3 inches a week).

We haven't even fertilised the grass either ... we were thinking about it ... we definitely aren't now .... LOL.

Need to put horses in the front paddock now to eat the damn grass down. Actually I need to do some fencing repairs before we put horses in there

I hear ya mate, we have 3/4 of an acre and it's such a pain to have to mow... and hubby can't do it cos he's so dreadfully allergic to cut grass (his face explodes - quite amusing to watch actually ).

I want a ride on mower! Maybe if I attach huge blades under the rolla... hmmmmmmm.
