Default Road Rage!!! What's This World Coming To?

Just saw on the news there was a serious incident of road rage in Adelaide where one young man has been stabbed to death and another is in hospital with stab wounds. What is wrong with people today? Why are we becoming such a violent society and people think that is okay to hurt one another like this? I know we get a bit dirty with the way some people drive on our roads but really what is our world coming too? Everyday there are stories of people being bashed, murdered etc. and nobody seems to bat an eyelid anymore. Don't people care about each other anymore? What happened to the word respect? What do you think?

Did you get a suburb? Elizabeth, Christies... Noarlunga?
I do have a customer at work whom I have known for a few months. I read in the paper a few days ago that he was about to be sued for damages and such for a road rage incident in which he stabbed someone a few years ago... Amazing what you learn.

Driving over 50,000kms a year just for work, I see a lot of stupid things happen on the road. I do worry more about my kids and how crazy its going to get in the future, even worse perhaps?. Life seems to becoming a lot cheaper these days. When it comes to having a go, if there is more than one person in the other car, chances are they will all try to jump on your head. Either mob rules or theyre gutless, watching the news you see it all the time.

I can understand roadrage, what i can't understand is why someone has to be stabbed, whats wrong with a bruised face that goes away after a week, people take things to far, and should be locked up if found carrying a knife.

But aren't we so much safer now on the roads with all these speed cameras instead of actual police cars??

Apparently its not quite so clear cut. The two "victims" persued the two "offenders" to their home, then obviously tried to gain access when they were inside. Road Rage is a side issue here, its probably more of an issue of self defence, and how far one goes.

Road Rage is a nonsense term for some nonsense laws. At the end of the day all the actions, threats, assault and murder are more than adequately handled be pre-existing laws. Assault is Assault, Manslaughter is Manslaughter and Murder is Murder no matter how it is painted.

No Sorry I can't understand it all, shore wev'e all been cut off, or some di*$head has done somethig stupid, but whats the point in belting someone, just let it go lifes to short to be worrying about this, I don't need my kids to be belted by some agro person just because they may have made a mistake on the roads.

... Well said Darren.

Seems to me as if there's a lot of punch happy men (or should that be little boys) out there. Must be something about proving how much of a man you are. :yeees:

wots with road rage. Yeah sure i havnt been on the road that much but as long as they dont do anythink to my car i will be cool mabey just say they are a ******** under my breath or say stuff like (in my car, not screaming) "we all have indicators lets try using umm lol". I would never get out and beat somebody up in any case with or without a group of friends. Even if they hit my car, i would just demand there details.

But i do believe that the world is getting violent. Like for some reason when i was walking out of blockbuster with 3 of my mates and i saw this chick crying so i asked if she was alright and out of no where her boy friend came out of no where screaming at me and telling me to not look at her .So i assumed they just broke up or somethink so i just walked away and this guy still wanted to fight me for no reason at all and there was 4 of us and 1 of him (dw nothing happen, i aint a fighting type). This reminded me how f'd up the world is getting and also how stupid ppl can be at times.

You missed my point, i don't condone violence, but if it's unavoidable even in defence it's taken too far, such as the Victims being the aggressor in this situation.

If someone was attacking me, say trying to rape me, I'm sure I would try and defend myself but this sort of behaviour for something minor that happened while driving out on the road is just not on. The details by what I read sound a bit sketchy. It's just a sad state of affairs for all the families involved. Maybe we need Supernanny (Adults Style) because this sort of behavior in society in my eyes is NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!
