TAGs are great, but don't buy quartz, buy automatic....no battery to worry about and lasts forever.

A few months back I bought a Ford watch for $90 which I took a photo of bellow. It has a leather band and a rotating bezel like my previous Ford watch I have owned for many years.
I also own a fake Breitling I bought 6 years ago in NY. I have shown it to a jeweler and he said it's one of the best fakes he has ever seen and you can only tell for sure when you open it and see the movement inside. As for Tags I like the Aquaracer 3000 model Brad Pit was advertising on the back of magazines recently. Anyone know how much they are going for? |

I agree with Homer1, I've got a Tag Heuer Monaco Chronagraph and I love it. Same style as Steve McQueen wore in his film Le Mans. Now all I need is the '68 Mustang GT390 out of Bullitt...

My ancient TAG- still going strong after about 20yrs, been surfing/sub aqua diving with it not to mention wearing it every day to work, best watch & certainly the toughest watch I've ever owned.

Thanks very much for that, its always worked perfectly (only had it for 6 months though), so I had wondered if it was quartz movement.
Prior to this watch I'd had a Rip Curl watch, which is expensive to run, and not that nice, its bands lasted a few years, but at the first sign of adverse conditions, they disintegrated. Also have a few fake Rolex's bought back from Bali and China by friends with good senses of humour. They are absolute rubbish though. The one from China is supposedly a quality fake (oxymoron, like 'genuine imitation'), yet you have to wear it all the time, unless you re-set it each morning, your late for work. The RW is very nice, I'm glad its not gold too. I certainly appreciate nice watches worn by others a lot more now. |
