Default Help SV8 or XR6T

Hi everyone,

I am looking for peoples thoughts on my dilemma, I have been thinking of selling my SV8 and buying an XR6T.
There is nothing wrong with the SV8 it is just i am thinking of starting a new project and the XR6T is a good option with lots of potential, or do i keep refining what i already have remembering there is still a lot that can be done to make a lot more horsepower.

So what do you think.

Cheers Chris

SV8 PWR S/C 10.97 @ 126.4

If you can afford the financial bend-over-and-think-warm-thoughts of trading up, then go for it!

10.97 is a mighty good time.. I know of only 2 privately owned XR6T's that are sub 11.. I'd be keen to try and milk alittle more out of the SV8 than to start fresh.

If it were a stock SV8 vs an XR6T, I'd say go the XR6T as the SV8 is a V8 with a sports pack on exec trim. But as you've thrown money at the SV8 and it is quick, probably better off sticking with it.

I agree, there seems to be too much money invested into the SV8 to bother changing to the XR6T.

I reckon you should do whatever you would be happy with.
If your happy driving a quick car then stay as you are.
If you like the challenge of building a quick car more than driving it, sell the SV8 and buy the T.

I'd stick with the V8, especially since you got it runin 10s, but then again the XR6T has great potential and only 2 runin under 11s so far.

You might even be the 3rd person to run under 11 s or maybe the record breaker.

Hmm now that I see what the current ride is, (notably missed upon first commentary), I retract my statement in full and suggest you keep the SV8!

If you're bored with the car and are prepared to lose some dosh when you sell it, then go the XR6T....otherwise stick with what ya got. I'm sure it's a lot of fun !
