We've all heard them over the years, the fake and made up car parts and mods, they always crack me up, share yours.
Some of my favourites, radiator hose for air cooled beetle, headlight fluid, mandrel bent steering wheel, and a good mod is the flux capacitor.

When I was an apprentice I fell for the left handed screwdriver and the can of chequered paint.
I also fell for the diesel spark plugs and VW radiator hoses. All in good fun though - felt like a dumbass at the time.

Sent the apprentice to Autopro for a box of compression, that had us all on the floor laughing when he came back with a taped up box.

Ahhhh Lucas electrics.....
My Sprite had Lucas electrics, as well as a 'self lubricating undercarriage'... due to the factory fitted oil leaks it had.

One of my favourites was the "Cross drilled Brake lines" to compliment the cross drilled rotors.
"Friction-less brake pads" As seen on many ads for second hand falcons "V6 4 litre motor"

Had a kid at the place I worked at in the UK hunting for a box of blue sparks for the angle grinder because the orange ones were too hot and his next task after that was to locate a large bucket of steam for the pressure washer !

I got an admin trainee pretty well with the ‘long weight’ trick at an old job
She came to me a day later saying that there was nothing in the corporate express catalogue and she had asked people who also had no clue. She wasn’t impressed when I told her.
