thats why ford put heat shields along the bottom of the car, right above the cat, and the rear muffler, well mine is non existant, but the heat shield does look good!!!

Leave the heat shield on. The cat needs to be hot to work, the heat shield helps warm it up.

yer my cats heat shield's fine onlly a couple of grases and ryed mud:P
so it defanetly burned out on the inside and thers ИИИИ rattaling around |

doesn't your head get damaged if the the heat from the blocked cat gos back up the headers?
