The thing is, it's the only time I can get off with the workload I have. The heat I can deal with if there is a swimming pool about.
I'll get onto the tours and cruises if you think it's in my best interest. I dont want to miss out on anything. Oh and YES I love seafood. But again, October is too early sadly. :(

We travelled to busso/margs every year for 15yrs growing up. Have not been in 5yrs (old job saw me there once a month to see clients) and we are going again in a month. We always went in winter as most days were fine, everyone else is at school and tourist season is slow. I am more than happy for crappy weather in exchange for.not dealing with ques and bus loads of tourists hahahahaha.
You have more wineries than you can poke a stick at, remember to check out ghe little ones off main roads which has already been mentioned. Coffee, chocolate, cheese factories. Olive oil soap factory has some good stuff, even though I went there reguarly for work I have not been to berry farm since my last trip as a teen 12yrs ago, so can't comment on how it is now. When I used to go it was just a place to pick berries and there was.this little cottage turned into a lunch place which always had the wood fire going and had a whole 7 tables. Best pea and ham soup ever. Various breweries, bushshack brewery is not too bad, they offer beers but also alcoholic creaming soda, kola beer, passiona etc. So many little places like glass blowing studios, wood carvers etc. There really is too much to list. Just one thing, don't forget simmos in dunsborough, even if icecream is not your thing, mini golf is always fun. We had been going since that place opened, my kids will now get their first time at simmos. Last edited by Spudz27; 20-05-2014 at 09:44 AM. |

Thing is, you look at WA in the Summer, and you can understand why the Dutch never stuck around. 'This land is a barren arid plain, where no fruit trees grow, nor is there any growth fit for the use of man' If you like Beaches, Sailing, Surfing, etc, then it's awesome, and the South-West is still a great respite (just a little brown.) Blue,
The Vasse Felix winery has a great restaurant with quality upmarket meals (5 star type scene, no quantity but plenty of taste). The bicentennial tree near Pemberton is a great climb, 75 meters high, certainly a different experience. Cheers |

Vasse felix was $150 for 5 people lunch (2 kids) 18yrs ago. God knows how much it is now. But it was one of the best lunches we had in all the years we went.

I'll be bringing my wallet with me when I go. My mate tells me to not expect bargains there, but definitely expect great flavours like no other.

I like a nice brew on occasions. I'll be sure to add this to the list of things to try.
