Hi guys this has probably been asked before but here goes anyway. I was just interested to know why people here own an E-series? I have allways liked them (exept EA sorry EA ppl) especially xr's, but were never my real "dream" car and the only reason i bought my ED was because of necessity, I had a supercharged datto 1600 with full cage , race seats and harneses so it was just a pain in the bum using her as a daily, so thats where the ED came in ,but in no way am i dissapointed with the swap cos if i didnt I wouldnt have the sweet EB i have now. I do miss the datto though god damn that was fun. Anyway i was just wondering on anyone elses reasons to go the E-SERIES.

i bought my 1991 NC Ghia because it was DAMN good value for money....
bought it in 2002 for 5 grand which was on the cheap side. parts are very in-expensive, and it looks great. the equivelant holden ( VQ Statesman) feels cheap and nasty compared to the Ford which feels solid, with nice interior and dash |

Cheap to buy, easy to fix, roomy and great for long trips, economical on gas and easy to fit with heaps of secondhand parts around. The wrecking yards are full of good parts - yea pick-a-part and JR
May not be as quick off the mark as a Commy but it's not as harsh to drive, and it looks better |

The price was good at the time which was 13G's about 6 years ago plus a 2g LPG conversion, loved the shape and mod capabilities. The Au was another option at the time but i hated the shape unless it was fully kitted lowered and tinted it's what i called 'junk', no offence AU drivers that's just a personal opinion. It's better than a commonwhore, a vehicle that i would never drive.
So yeah guess just fell in love, to a degree. Go the E-SERIES!! |

I love em' but to be honest i think alot of people would agree with me that being a ford nut and wanting a ford when we first bought our new cars the e-series was bout the only ford in our price range (besides x-series) see i think most of us wouldnt mind a ol TS50 or new xr8 but now years on, being older and being on the forums id actually rather have a 'unique' flasho e-series than going and buying a ba which is already flashy and quick! I have the e-series bug lol They are weapons ready to be unleashed and look awsome when done up! :

being young .. i want to mod my car.
and i can't do that becoz i have a passed down car from my grandparents. so the parents dont want me to touch it. and i found the inline six's to be the best and easiest to mod. not to mention the car i have now is a pain in the *** to mod. |

Always loved them I have only ever owned E-Series Fords, if I can get rid of the Verada then I will get another E-Series :hihi:
When the EB came out I feel in love with it, loved the EA Fairmont Ghia's aswell, EF/El were awesome aswell and the XR series just added to how good a car they really were. Before the E-Series Falcons came out I was big fan of the XF especially the Fairmont Ghia. |

i love the e-series because even if they are kept stock standard, and auto, they have a hell of alot of power, comfort, and sweet looks.
and i know that if i want to go somewhere, i know the car will get me there and get me back, and if something does go wrong with the car, parts are dirt cheap

I like everythin about fords don't care which model (sept AU) sorry dudes, i neva used to be a real fan of the EA but now i own 1 thats just plain PHAT so i bought it doug did an awsome job of it 1 of a kind EA i think, before that i ahve owned in order 85 xf, 86 xf, followed by an 87 update which was tuff head and cam and so forth, gave that up (don't know why there was nuttin wrong wif it) then bought a 97 EL back then i always wanted that shape, did heaps to that inc bout 10G worth of stez, unfortunatly that had a date with a power pole, i then bought my EF XR6 pretty plain but it was 5spd lowered on kings ultima short travels and AU111 ticky 17s but a dirty VL t-boned me. so as u can c i just love my fords and always will

My first E-Series was an EBII XR6 and after someone decided they liked it better than me I went to a AUII XR8 ute (loved that ute) wanted to buy a house, bank said sell ute or no house due to payments. So I sold the ute then a little down the track I brought the EBII XR8 in my signature and then 2.5 years later found an ED XR8 Sprint I just had to have. Besides a XA-XB coupe they are definitely one of my favorite fords.

mine was necessity, i needed a cheap solid reliable car for a few months, so i bought back my first ea which i sold to my brother, got it for $800 on gas with 12 months reg and a littl bit of front damage, so i repaired it, was a cheap car till i drove it into a pole, had to re-repair it and its been nothin but a mechanical drama ever since, slowly sortin everythin out tho......no longer a cheap car for a few months tho

Had to get a car as I busted the Galant's gearbox again. At the same time I wanted another car, as much as I love the Mitsubishi's DOHC 2.0L, I wanted a new ride for a while.
There was a few little run abouts I could chose from, but I slept on it, and thought to hell with it; I'm gonna get that dirty big falcon! It was $500 with 3 months on it from a alright dealer.. got a few little repairs to do, prolly another $500 tho! No regrets. |

I had a bad week, blew the motor in my XF and the gearbox in my 120Y sleeper.
Decided to get something that I'd be happy with standard, that was still fun, quickish and looked good, while being some what practical. The short list was all imports, except for a XR6/8 which an under 25 could actually insure at a semi sane price. So here I am with a EF II XR8 manual. Will be keeping it for a while yet too I think.

I was searching carsales one day and saw the EF with a bodykit, lowered and some nice mags. Took one look and wallah, wallet was out. Ive always been a ford man but only ever liked the old girls (XB coupe). But TBH the first E series with a body kit i saw REALLY changed my mind.

value for money is one thing...
although my first e-series was a ea ghia that looked like a ed xr (quite like my current ride..lol) my parents begged me not to get it, but I did, and I loved it even though I paid about what it was worth in repairs...lol But it was all worth it...Im going for my third e-series in a row now. I could get an AU but it would be stock. stock = not cool!

I bought the EA Ghia as it was cheap and we needed a second car, it was supposed to just be a car to go from A to B as a daily driver, then I found the forums, and the car has not been the same since ........... lol

My first car was a EA, which was passed down. My second car was a VSII Berlina. Then I decided to upgrade from the Berlina and I wanted to be back in the E-series club so I got a EL Ghia V8 (although that day I was actually looking for a ED XR8) I'm glad I didn't get a povo XR8 though.
