My reliable source advised that the MSD 8578 red cap or MSD 85783 all black will fit under the shaker of a 351 Windsor. I cannot confirm, but would check the advise. Dimensions can be found on the link below which you could use to check on vehicle.

The MSD 8578 will at least need an MSD 6. it is also compatible with a 7 or 8.

Spoke to performance ignition and they were very helpful looks like rebuilding old one with electronic ignition is the go.
