Default Why is my car flatspoting?

Lately for some reason when i go around a corner and im giving it a bit my car will just sort of flatspot, i was thinking it was just because my tank was a bit empty and wasnt picking up properly but it has happend also when i have a fair bit of fuel. She does seem to be running pretty rich at the moment for some reason so i guess it could be fueling up too much also. Any ideas guys (other than getting a tune i have bugger all cash atm lol!!) Cheers

Yeah same, the extractors seem to be causing me more harm than good at the moment. I did notice the change after the installation of extractors.

So if we had an upgraded cam, should this correct the problem of the extractors causing these flat spots?

I get exactly the same thing. Luckily I take it very easy when it's cold coz you wouldn't want that shyte when you're jumping into a gap from a T-intersection. Only happens when it's cold and power will come back if I lift off and back on again. Sometimes get a bit of a stutter when the foot goes back down.

I don't have extractors yet, just the offset Redback and no resinator. Can't remember if it happened before I got that done.

Once you are at 80 the car should be sailing along fine .. I'd be heading for a fuel filter as a cheap fix

I have extractors and cam so i spose one of these could be a cause if this. Also though mine only happens when cornering hard so it makes me think otherwise.

yes it would be the EB/ED dizzy in an AU block, remember although you have the AU engine in your car it still has the E'series looms.. So you couldn't be running the AU coil packs without a heap of messing around
