Default rotisserie

hey guys in the middle of rebuilding a 1967 XR Fairmont and just wondering if anyone made the dimensions on a rotisserie to suit it

Mate I just made one of these over the weekend, quite easy infact but mine is to suit a 32 hot rod but it could be easily changed to suit other cars I guess. I also made mine on wheels so it can be moved. Heres a couple of pics.

A guy in another club I belong to used 2 "engine stands" , advantage here is , you've already got a stand when you want to work on your motor.... less expence.

It only took 3 guys to lift mine up as you see it in the pics. I made up some 50mm RHS to fit in where the front lower control arms fit (where the camber bolts go) about 1.5 metres long each. One guy on each of these lifted the front easy while I slipped the rotisserie on. Same deal at the rear, just used the bolted up bracket to lift from.

I can spin mine one handed. With no diff, frt end etc it weighs bugger all, yes.

yes once in the air there simple to operate and yes a one man job. These are becoming very popular recently, and I think more people finding out they arnt that dear to make.

I recently saw a rotiserie that had an XP coupe bolted to it and the ease of rotation and access to all parts of the body shell without busting your back is amazing, an essential tool for the serious restorer/cutomizer.

I think your wheels should be further part. Once you get the body up on there it'll move the centre of gravity up and be relativly easy to tip over with such a narrow wheel track.

Mate I see your point but this one is made for the chassis only as the body is glass and has a flat floor so no need putting it on rotosserie as all I nned to do is tip it up on the firewall. So for what I need this is ok.

well thats great that means i can cover up under the back guards on the floor and all underneath basically with 2pak black sealant and fish oil
