Default Cfi???

I was going over my car yeaturday(just to learn somethings...) and I took the cover off my air filter and it still looks just like my mates carby XE... But I restursure I am wrong...My air filter is nice and new though...Oh and I worked out were my oil dipstick was hahaha :gren: I replaced my oil and oil filter as well...

But I still want to convert it to multi point but I can't find the parts...(and I don't have the money to but it all new) So we might be looking at a CFI memeber for a while...

Is there any other performance mods I sould go for I am getting pacey's soon and I have a 2.5 half inch cat back system...

It's not a carby either, it's a throttle body with 2 injectors.

Good on ya for changing your oil and filter, it's always good to do something yourself.

I'd probably invest in an MPFI conversion, best bang for buck..

or just take the entire *cfi* motor out and graft it to a ride-on mower.. should form the foundation for some wholesome memories..

Im in the process of this conversion myself i have a few parts to go then ill do it i have only spent $60 so far and i have nearly all the parts! So ask around the forums your sure to find people have parts for MPFI sitting around thats how i did it!

Im doing my conversion after i dyno the cfi and run it down the quarter, then ill do the conversion then dyno it again and quarter it again to see how much of a power gain this conversion is!!

For the money, it is the best bang for buck mod and should be done before you start spending money elsewere. On average you can collect the parts for about $150 from wreckers, but if your patient like snypereb then you should be able to come across a few bargains here and there until you have everything you need and save yourself some dosh.

It will give you a nice 15-20kw gain, and you aint gunna find many mods for $150 or less that will improve power by that amount. Not overly hard to do either, and as has been already mentioned, there should be an encyclopedia of information on these forums about this conversion, as it has been covered so many times before...
