If you have proof of purchase and you are still under warranty then no, just crap on it has problems, random shutdown etc, and they will flash the latest version for you.

You can goto any store that your mobile phone is with, i,e, optus and they can print a proof of purchase for you.

Cost nothing, I was also told that if the phone is out of warranty they will stil upgrade it for free because it is a widespread and acknowledged fault.

A few people here seem to have problems with these phones however they are only about 6 months old which would suggest it would be fixed under warranty, but no one is saying that the fault or the phone has been fixed or replaced. :lookedat:

Yeh, The one I should be getting would have the updated software. Thats another thing the bloke at Optus said, that they bring out software updates and such on em... Sounds like the Pro's outweigh the cons...

i have one of these for a work phone and found it great....havnt had a problem with it....and it gets treated pretty bad!! i havnt found a problem with the phone freezing with mms or anything like that...i am also with 3 in bris and dont have a prob with it dropping out and i work all over the northside of brisbane

I have not experienced any of the problems mentioned by others.

Mine gets treated rough too.

they guy wants an opinion, i gave it to him. we (as in 6 people at our work) got these phones two months ago and most of us are having constant shutdowns. i will talk to our resident phone geek about these upgrades but if our phone supplier doesnt tell us about upgrades, how are we supposed to know?. and why should we need upgrades 2 months after we got the ******* things.

Why fix something for the sake of it, tighten a nut enough times to prevent it coming loose something will break.

Upgrades because people make mistakes.

can you unlock your phone
then type in (fairly quickly) *#0000# and tell what version you have please.
