So that would likely mean that Ford is contributing to more suppliers (more unique parts being sourced locally)?

Perhaps overall Holden makes a larger contribution to the Australian economy (not that much of Australia cares enough to provide any support - government or voters alike) but if I worked at a supplier for one of the parts that Holden used to source locally but now sources overseas, but which Ford still buys locally, I'd care more that Ford buys the thing that I manufacture to make 500 cars a month than I would about the fact that Holden buys 3000 widgets from someone else.

Bahaha!

Have a go at me, but be a man about it and call me out. Weak as ****...

Twice in one thread. Weak Holden fanboi's...

Forgive me if I don't take for granted everything the media says about a falcon. It's not the first time they have an agenda against the Falcon. Wheels tests anyone? Funny the right person there changed the results by a huge margin.

So far 2 of the "tests" have been carried out by people contracted to Holden... You find it strange why I don't accept it as gospel?! And both auto's.

Bah!

I understand your frustration 100%......but it's so much easier for the weak Holden fanboys to continually troll and ignore and deny history! The things that have gone on over the years astound me but too many have goldfish memories. Honestly I'm surprised there's any Holden fanboys left, with the current garbage lineup they serve Australians...bar some commadore/hsv variants! Must be a dying breed!

Exactly mate!

Ford drop the V8 with a more powerful 6, its all about V8's. Holden then make their best car using a Nissan motor, all Hail the "Holden" 6.

Ford make it about handling, the goal posts are moved and its all about HP...

Ford lift HP, wait, hold the press, its all about handling.

Ford steps up the interiors, its all about exterior...

Ford use more local content, Holden sells more cars so its better...

Its always something else...

I beg to disagree...

People who think that tyre pressures and different tracks dont suit different cars are the ones that are embarrassing themselves by displaying their lack of knowledge for the world to see...

Well, to the owners of the super fast SSV's in or around Sydney; 22nd of Feb is a super sprint round at Sydney motorsport park on the GP (V8's) circuit.

Happy to wager entry fee who is quicker.

Well deserved?... because he was pointing out facts??

Looks like someone needs a lesson in maturity...

How 'bout next time you feel like insulting others, try keeping it yourself !

Even though I'm a Ford man through and through, I still admitted the Redline was the better track day car from the factory.

Most likely due to the fact that most people feel Ford did very little to market the Australian produced product to keep manufacturing going.
Whereas Holden as always actively marketed the Commodore, Ute, Monaro, Statesman etc..

To be fair though, thats only been in the recent past. If you talk about Monaro days, there was plenty of Ads for Falcon.

how awesome does the xr8 sound on full song? I know it's been mentioned before but it's funny how no matter which way the benefits sway, power, handling or other niceties, wherever the Ford lacks, the Holden is always the "clear winner".

With the twin turbo out soon it will take that scalded cat and raise it with a well aimed air rifle pellet to the testicles.

Definitely a different price range, I was just having a stir while pointing out some manufacturers can do interiors, finesse, grunt and soundtracks.

What else in Australia NEW offers the XR8 shove and soundtrack under (in my case anyway) the LCT (and business FBT) threshold in a 4 door? Being an Australian blue oval was a bonus. Is a step down from my '99 X308 XJR in the interior stakes but the grunt and manual availability makes up for that and I keep a V8 with blower in the soundtrack.
