I haven’t been a huge fan of the hero colours but I think ford did a great job on the yellow Wildtrack above. I like that there is no chrome.
I think this will look spesh with a black outback animal front runner type bull bar, a set of stedi led lights, black method wheels with 32/33tyres, and a dark tint. Might get my money. |

should serve as a great springboard for the new vehicle. This is getting very exciting, I can’t wait to see how the V6 is received by buyers and if done right, this could be big….. |

https://www.drive.com.au/news/2022-f...ff-the-charts/
2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak TDV6 demand “off the charts” Dealers are reporting a flood of forward orders for the 2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak TDV6 – six months before it goes on sale and long before the price is known. Joshua Dowling 06:01, 07 December 2021 Dealers have begun taking orders for the top-of-the-range 2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak TDV6 – more than half a year before it is due in showrooms and the price has been announced. A number of Ford dealers across three states – canvassed by Drive – say they have taken “sizeable” deposits, with many sitting on more than two dozen orders for the flagship Ranger. One dealer, who claimed to have accepted deposits for more than 30 examples of the 2022 Ford Ranger Wildtrak TDV6, told Drive: “We signed up about a dozen on the morning after the reveal and the phone hasn’t stopped since,” said one dealer who asked to remain anonymous, because showroom sales staff are not allowed to talk to media on behalf of Ford. “Everyone wants the Wildtrak (turbo diesel) V6,” said another Ford dealer. “No-one has placed an order with us yet for the bi-turbo (twin turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel),” said yet another Ford dealer. “Every order we have taken is for the Wildtrak (turbo diesel) V6. I hope Ford is planning on building enough.” Most Ford dealers canvassed by Drive said they have been accepting refundable deposits of $1000, “pending price and a test drive.” Ford Australia said it does not know how many deposits had been taken or how many new Ford Rangers had been reserved nationally because a formal ordering system is yet be established. “We just started doing it ourselves,” said one Ford dealer, who explained his dealership started creating a list of customers as soon as the phone started ringing. Another Ford dealer said: “Given how many orders we are taking (for the 2022 Ford Wildtrak TDV6) it’s fair to say there will be a long wait for this car when it comes out.” Beyond providing an estimated arrival of “mid 2022,” Ford Australia is yet to give any indication on pricing or timing for the first new Ford Ranger in a decade. Having unveiled the vehicle a week ago, Ford continues to roll out new information gradually, such as genuine accessories – developed with four-wheel-drive specialist ARB – and the fact the TDV6 will be available as an option on the XLT, Sport and Wildtrak grades. The standard engine on the 2022 Ford Ranger XLT, Sport and Wildtrak will be the twin-turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder, while the ageing 3.2-litre five-cylinder will be retired with the new model. Meanwhile the 2022 Ford Ranger Raptor is tipped – but not yet confirmed – to be powered by a twin-turbo V6 petrol engine paired to full-time all-wheel-drive, once it's unveiled early next year. |

it's amusing that we have been specifically told not to talk about series and powertrain deployment, and yet here we have a show car with both V6 and Wildtrak badging. go figure!

“No-one has placed an order with us yet for the bi-turbo (twin turbo 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel),”
Quite telling. And thank you Ford (or VW) for finally listening. |
