I personally love the VW product, but I keep reading never ending reports of poor aftersales service/warranty and expensive parts etc.

Tremor name trademarked in Australia and NZ. Tremor was what the US market called the FX4 Max. So potential name change. The author seems to not realize that this is the case.

Great photo, That really shows you the size difference. We had a look at the new DT 1500 ram the other week. Much more space inside for our family in the back seat in these American dual cabs . The interior width and legroom is the most notable thing and the bigger tray is perfect for dirtbikes, mtbs etc, Interested to see what ford do with the F150 here. |

RAM is the 'cheap' one but one wonders if it will end up in tears because Chrysler?
Chrysler always ends in tears come repair time. One wonders if its just worth spending the extra coin to get the Silverado, cause GM, cheap(er) spares and better availability. |

Lincoln Aviator too - they've got some top shelf North American pick up and SUV product that we are not worthy to receive.
Edit: check it out, you morph your phone with the steering wheel (scroll down) https://www.lincoln.com/luxury-suvs/aviator/

Speaking of F150’s. I saw a brand new left hand drive F150 platinum on the yard down at AusMv(SCD) in slacks creek. I presume it one of their first ones that will be doing the conversion on for this year as they get out of Ram conversions and swap to F150’s as per their press release.
The new dash looks really nice. |

I went and had a look at the Chevy Silverardo 1500 Trail boss. Seems to tick a lot of boxes. 6.2 V8 L87 , Great power, plenty of parts and reliable. - tick Plenty of space inside for 3 in the back - tick 4.2 tonne towing on Trailboss - tick Great sized tray - tick Old interior not as good as the new Ram or F150 - No tick, not so great but ok Relativity affordable $107K Plus on roads. Well thats where i thought it was. Got the 2 dealer quotes, so it wasn't a one off. Yes $107K PLUS Metallic paint ( just plane blue LOL) -$1100 Dealer Delivery $6000. (RAM was $2000DD as a matter of interest) OMG Admin fee $110 Dealer contribution $3500. (WTF- Tried to tell me this is a small contribution to the dealer in these difficult times to do business.) Then add stamps, GST, rego, ctp etc on top of this and the $107k is now $129k DA. No movement in DD or Contribution. So you really need to look at the fine print for the hidden charges... Will wait to see how much the ranger V6 wild track is then... |

Given they're done by HSV/ASV in Melbourne, maybe shop around dealerships down here, if you can save a few thousand bucks it might be worth the flight down, a couple hotels along the way for the road trip back to where you're from given borders are open on the East Coast. |

Yes they are dragging it out, had a deposit on a D Max, but holding off now to see what the ranger pricing and specs are going to be.

I’m not sure why anyone would buy a new D-Max over a Ranger. The current Ranger is miles ahead of a D-Max in just about every way. And a Ranger is now cheaper than a D-Max. Isuzu used to bank on their reliability but now I would question that as the current models are certainly having their issues. And in my opinion the interiors feel cheep and outdated. They previously had a significant price advantage over Ford and Toyota. Now they are dearer. |
