Hi All,
I'm recently retired and now looking for a project car to work on and keep as a "Sunday Driver". I've mainly been looking at older cars (25 years +) but can't believe the prices being asked. I've decided on getting an XR8 and currently trawling through the forum for my research. I hope to be posting details of my project in 2018. I've owned a 65 Cortina, XC V8 Van, XD & EA Falcon sedans, AU XR6 and BA Fairmont Ghia. |

Hi Recently exchanged my GU 1999 Patrol for 2011 AWD Territory v6 diesel. Very impressed pulling power kills the patrol with the 6 speed Auto. It is the basic model sx? and would like to upgrade the fog lights and sat nav with reversing camera. Any tips. does the screen need changing which displays the audio and reversing sensors. Love the drive.

Hi guys,
new member here, my partner and I have recently bought a 2004 ba falcon xr6t. so we thought we got a bargain due to previous owner being a crackhead, little did we know he tinkered away on literally every bit of the car. Looking forward to getting some posts up and receiving advice on the little jobs we can fix and advice on where to go for what we cant. Thank you. |

Hello All,
A new member because I have just purchased my first Ford being an Escape after having owned respectively 1997 Land Rover Discovery, 1993 Suzuki Vitara & 1977 Volkswagen Golf. Interested in looking after & getting best use from my Escape. Technologically it is way advanced compared to the other vehicles I have owned. Always been interested in Ford Fairlane & LTD too. Hoping for sensible, useful and relevant discussions. |

Hi guys
A new Kiwi member and just bought a Ford for a project. I'm a 4wd nut and have had Safari's/Patrols for the last 20yrs...still do. But I've always liked the early 90's Fords and just bought a '91 EA Fairmont Ghia with 4spd auto. |

Hi All,
Life long ford fan, keen on the Supercars and a Frosty fan. Just test driven my second Territory - 2012 SZ - TX AWD turbo diesel. Hoping someone can help me. Auto gear changes smooth and un-noticeable with gentle/normal acceleration. When I accelerated rapidly from low speed could definitely "feel" the first 3 gear changes. Is this normal ? Might take another one for a drive to see if it is the same. |

Like not being able to get into top gear until you've reached 110kmh
But that's for another area. Billy, if you haven't ventured there yet have a look in here............. https://fordforums.com.au/forumdisplay.php?f=310

First car was a 1938 Austin Big 7 in 1959. Upgraded to Mk. I Zepher (?) then a 1961 Anglia , 1972 Cortina , 1974 XB Falcon , so 2 adults & 4 kids would fit. Now have a 2012 Mitsi. Outlander 4wd which made sense at $27,000 Drive Away with 5 years warranty but am still Ford at heart. 18 year old grandson has just purchased a 2010 Falcon xr6 and this forum will be informative when I get involved with any problems he has.

Hi there everyone! Sadly my 1985 Bronco and I are going to have to part company. I am just unsure of how to do it. She has rust, and paint is peeling on the roof and bonnet. I dont know whether to do her up and then sell her, or just sell her as is. I havent managed to work out what kind of a market it out there for selling such a beast. It is 4WD, manual, dual fuel, V8. Only reason she has to go, is we have too many vehicles now and who needs another car to register! I am in Wollongong NSW. I am not sure what a spray painter would charge to beautify her, but I suppose that would be a start.
Hoping someone out there has suggestions. I know manual Bronco's are very rare, and that is why I am not so keen about letting go of her. Cheers Bronco Marg |
