^^^^ must have made a handy sum on your dirt.

its not so bad to pay tax.....means you have had a half decent income for the year.

i paid about $22000 this year from my wages , much better off now then when i was working for myself and paying no tax.

Yes i was 'very lucky' to un-expectidantly inherit alot of cash and land over a year back now and just sold the land recently. The land i inherited was 1/4 of the Greenvale estate (254 hectares - near Craigiburn in Melbourne). But gee the taxman hit me hard this year and last year ! ( I payed more tax last year and this year combined than the total amount of tax i have had to payed in my whole life ! ) . Bloody tax :

Flash tuner and some dyno time, possibly a larger Cam. (no, not a larger me, its for the car :P)

And the rest going on the boring old bills, and the "moving houses" fund

I've got 3 options for my tax return:
(1) Detroit No-Spin diff locker & ancillaries for my XY
(2) New springs/shocks & tyres on the daily car (Ford Escape) << family safety!
(3) Concreting/paths around my 2 1/2 year old house ( well overdue) This'll cut down grass to mow, and mud being carted inside the house.
Mmmm, even though there is family pressure to get 2 & 3 done, I think I'll be getting the diff done! Follows the trend of getting exhaust/brakes/steering done last year. Hehe. Then next year the motor will get a look in!

i'm spending my tax return paying the government. Yay!?....last year my tax return was -$7800, this year somewhat less, I will get about -$3500. Oh, hang on, negative? that means I have to pay tax.....bugger. Something to do with uni debts i guess, but that got me the job I'm in. Sad part is that the tax I pay each year is greater than the whole 4 year course combined...and even then it's still not enough and they want more. Will be HECS/HELP debt clear soon though. So maybe one day the government and I can say that we're square, they dont pay me, I dont pay them, except for the fat chunk they take off me each week before I see it. Anyway, to those that get something back, go silly and spend it on something fun

Yeh would be good, but she hasn't been home for 4 years (she moved to australia with me) so for public relations reasons, even suggesting i spend it on the car could be fatal LOL

Last year my work kept taking my HECS out for nearly a year when i had actually finally finished paying it off, so i was handed nearly $6000 in a tax return which paid for a lot of the V8 conversion on my falcon
