Price is getting out of hand, i had to wipe my eyes and look twice when i was out last nite and saw the price, i haven't had to ever buy lpg as i run all petrol at my household!
Opening a can of worms here but anyone got second thoughts regrets about putting lpg on their car now? |

Just remember LPG would have to reach approx $1.20/L before it becomes 'not worth it'. Even at 79.9 it's still the cheapest way to drive.

Geez, don't you feel like there is a bit of collaboration going on between all the servos?
When you see them all suddenly raise their prices by the same amount, pretty much state-wide or country-wide. I thought price fixing was illegal. As much as people will point and say "the cost of LPG went up so therefore our prices need to go up" (which I understand and can agree with) - it makes no sense that the servos are all always around the same price, and they all always jump at the same time by the same amount. It's like they're puppets and there's one man behind it all who owns them all and sets the price uniformly among all of the stations. |

Have you people been reading world lately news???
There is a massive GAS shortage across the whole of Europe due to the freeze snap that is ongoing ... hundreds of people have already dies from freezing temperatures ... World GAS prices have massively jumped, hell even Russia can not satisfy the current demand due to the extremely cold weather ... With more and more developed countries switching to GAS for generating power GAS prices will continue to rise ... on top of that add the fact that there are very few countries supplying GAS in the world and you got a recipe for a continuous increase in demand + price ... |

With such prices it will be not worth soon to use LPG anymore.
Taking into account that gas system (carby type) restricting intake making petrol usage less efficient will consider to remove LPG system and will not convert project car I am building to LPG. Not too good. |

It might be a bit cheaper...but as it gets closer people will ask "why bother when it will take so long to recoup the costs...?" Our oil prices always rise dramatically during the "northern winter" mainly because Americans still think you need a huge oil fired furnace in your basement to heat your house...mustn't have heard of electric reverse cycle air conditioning and heaters... |

it's called collusion and a toothless, gutless ACCC.
and a government $$$ crack like addiction to your pocket. i'm amazed when prices go down substantially, it takes days for it to come down, and when it goes up, it's instantaneous. |

i would not be getting upset about lpg just yet, i`m thinking in the not to distant future due to possible events over seas the price of petrol will rise and lpg will look really good again, it`s probably just a price spike for the lpg anyway.

Hmm, LPG rose 10c overnight here, now at 75c p/l. Hopefully when my car's fixed it'll have dropped back down to the yummy 52c it usually is here.

79.9 c\L all over Sydney's north and on the central coast.
I can't see any justification for such a big jump. |

Same with Western Sydney.
Already did the jump from mid-50s to mid-60's ... now nearly 80 a couple of weeks later. It's sad seeing some of the refineries just burning it off as excess.

I can recall filling up my old ZJ Farlaine just over a decade ago for 15cents p/l. Havnt times changed... i mean increased. Also correct me if im wrong but the gas back then used to have a higher ratio of propane than butane? Meaning more bang for your buck.

Melbourne just about everywhere is now 75.9 cents per litre. I haven't seen anything cheaper all day in all suburbs around the metro area.
I can't say I've seen this before ever, where every servo has put prices up this high in Melb.

7-11 in East Bentleigh in Melbourne (Warrigal Road between Centre & North) has it at 63.9. I just filled up.
Everywhere else in the area had 75.9. Thanks Motormouth website

They don't work well at sub zero temperatures, same as a refrigerated airconditioner doesnt work when it gets too hot. |

$0.799 for LPG and $1.31 for unleaded on the westgate Freeway tonight.
that's the trigger to remove the LPG tank in my book. |

I was thinking about refitting the LPG I removed from my vehicle as it is getting bloody expensive to run but now with it hitting just over half the cost of dinosaur juice its no worth doing it.
I wont be rushing into it thats for sure now. |
