It looks as though we could be next. Darlington Point MAY be evacuated in the coming days. I notice they have just upgraded the predicted levels for here to 7.7m which I beleive is very close to the levee height.
The floods in 1974 were 7.7m here so we are looking at something similar. I notice Narrandera is very close to 1974 levels right now. Their predicted peak was upgraded today as well. The peak is expected there tomorrow. My parents will be isolated on their farm tomorrow on a small island around the house. Water started coming over the road tonight and some of the farm is already under water. |
