how can the charge 70% less than normal? something about been too good to be true? edit: i read the t&c on the groupon website and seems legit... have people used it before with success? sorry about all the questions, new to the whole idea of international travel

We've used Groupon quite a few times, no catch just read the T&C's and be sure you are going to use them in the dates they mention and once you have it and have a date in mind, i'd contact the place to ensure availability.
Got a family member off to KL/Phuket tomorrow on a Groupon deal they bought last year too, no problem. |

What time of year? I like the idea of being able to get out and do as much as you want without feeling compelled to. We also has three weeks in New Zealand but I see that's not a preference. How about Norfolk Island or Lord Howe Island? I wouldn't go to Asia if you paid me (but that's just me).

Congrats mate! We had our honeymoon in hawaii in march/April last year. It cost under 10k all up and that included an Activity most days such as sunset cruise dinner, kayaking, snorkeling, luau etc... We had 4 nights in Maui and 4 nights in Kauai.

the night after my wedding my wife and i drove our photographer to air port to fly back to W.A and then proceeded to find somewhere close to COOLANGATTA to look at Cooly Rocks Festival on the sunday, but i took a wrong turn at Currumbin and thought we'll find a hotel along the road soon................ended up at Murwulimbah, the whole town was shut at 9pm, then proceeded to drive with haste to Ballina to check in at The Ramada at 10:10pm. Most of the way was over mountains and 90km/h, as you would guess i was a little speedy and we checked out teh following morning at 930 to continue driving back to Port Macquarie after a good nights sleep in a king size bed and good hot shower.
Shame it was ****ing down rain and thank god for 24hr check in and 170 for the emergency night was reasonable. |

In the end we had 22 of our closest family members, and friends come to Port Douglas (most for a week); we had a blast catching up with every one and the wedding day was stress free, with most of the morning spent in the pool drinking up :-) Accomodation was ralitively cheap, wedding at the park was beautiful, reception at a local restraunt went fantasticly, and we ate and drank like kings for a week. |

My wedding was had for under 9000 we had in my Home town of Tenterfield, ceremony was at the railway on the platform, flew our photographer over from perth who is a good friend on my wifes. Had 45 of our family and friends at reception at the Tenterfield Tavern, played pool all night drank and ate like rich bitches. Our chef is by far the best and friendliest you will ever meet. Had massive platters for guests to eat while we had photos, fillet mignon and chicken mignon for the mains and marbled white and milk chocolate mud cake for dessert.

All the major hire companies have them. We were lucky to get the last available one on the island. I think it was a 250 or 450cc but if you planned ahead you could grab a 650cc one that went like the clappers. Back on topic.. Tahiti is not a bad place to go, and not as expensive as you think. I was close to booking from this site: http://youdeservetahiti.com.au/ but they cater for Saturday weddings as their departures are Sunday. I got hitched on Sunday. Looks like prices start at around 2.5k per person for a week staying mostly on Moorea and climbs to a bit over 6.5k pp to go to Bora Bora's top of the range package. (there are HEAPS of packages in between as well). Includes breky and dinner - which is always a bonus as food is costly in the resorts. That includes flights from Syd, Bris and Melb as well ;) In the 'Special Offers' section BTW ;)

+1 for Fiji
We stayed at Tokoriki island for 7 nights. I have never relaxed so much in my life!!!! We only ended up spending just over $5k for the entire trip including spending money so it was a great price I thought. I was that relaxed that when we got home I literally quit my job and bought a hammock lol |

My wife and I were going to go to Thailand for our honeymoon at the start of this year also, as I wanted to go somewhere where I could relax on the beach under a palm tree. It was no where near as cheap as we thought it would be, as we wanted to stay in a rather nice hotel. It was going to cost us 4000 for 8 nights.
Went to Beverly Hills and Vegas instead, and got to stay in flash hotels. Only cost us an extra $1500 and did 11 nights. Loved it so much that we are planning another holiday back there to explore the east coast this time. |

Another vote for Fiji, I went to Liku Liku lagoon resort for my honeymoon and loved every minute of it. I saved up for ages prior as I wanted my Honeymoon to be something special for both of us and I am glad I did.
