It's cos the Japanese go to great lengths to ensure there is NO leather smell which is the one thing I most want.

to be honest..in this case id prefer they didn't use real leather...unless its done humanely....which just doesn't happen. But it does go to show how much dribble they write and how far they'll go to make a fake name for themselves as a brand. It all comes out in the end and im sure they'll be in damage control mode

When I worked in a ford dealership a salesman made the mistake of saying full leather trim to a customer BOOM all hell broke loose.

I was at a leather shop in italy a few years back and the guy said the only true way to find out if its real leather is to set a lighter onto it... if it burns, or melts then its not leather.
