To be fair, it was a bargain and I haven't seen one that cheap since. Plus it didn't mention what kind of condition it was in and I didn't bother asking because I'm not in the market for one.

Yeah I think Ill be hard pressed finding another one that cheap.

Ill get the car first then decide what to do, I think NA will be the easier/cheaper option at the moment. At least until the torana is finished.

Ive already got a ghia interior, mpfi conversion and a cam lined up! I hope the car drives alright.

if you get it you should dump it on stockies. :P EA 5 speeds make good burnout cars. ;)

I think a FMX/Toploader and a 8 and 3/4 inch diff are in order! Chuck in a 253 while ur at it! You should have one lying around with all those Torrie parts and ИИИИ.

About as much as a EA is worth..nothing.

Seriously Dan though, mate, you get talked in to doing ИИИИ to easily. You'll have about 15 projects on the go soon and none will be getting anywhere so we'll have to start calling you Trouty...

Sundeep, that hurts mate. Sometimes you go too far.

I only have 1 project now. The torana is all there is. :

Personally if i bought a CFI EA for $200, especially a GL, i would just keep up the regular oil changes e.t.c. and thrash the thing. Get abit of fun out of it, its not worth spending money on it IMO. Anyways even with CFI the 5 speed should get some nice burnouts happening :thebirds:

But I want to tow!

Its okay, Im not a stranger to spending stupid amounts of money on an e series that costs bugger all :P

The mods I want to do wont be expensive.

Ghia interior would be like $200, paint would be $350ish, cam $120, exhaust and extractors Ill find somewhere second hand. Nitrous I already have, Superlows $200, 15 inch stockies $120 from the wrecker. Stereo I already have.

Thats like $1000 plus rego for a good looking cruiser/tow car with a bit of punch. Bargain!

we'll see mate, we'll see.

If I get the car, it will be registered then the other stuff will happen soon after. Interior, superlows, stockies, MPFI and nitrous are definates.

Exhaust and extractors might have to wait. Paint will happen when my mate and I can be bothered and have a free weekend.

It will be sick, i have to get the car first though. It might not run or it will blow smoke in which case I wont bother.

why bother with the conversion
think about this

$$$$$= add a xtra 20FWKWS for what?
i had a mpfi wagon ran like a charm
my mate had a cfi 5 speed sedan beat me down the qtr by a car length

CAI:a few qik mods and your set for a cheap run about with balls

Im going to run nitrous. I feel more confident with the mpfi system over the CFi in this case. There will be better placed to put the fogger as well.

Later if I want to turbo it its easier.

MPFI is cheap cheap.
