The dealer had fitted the SS kit to it and lowered it but that was it and i got it with 163K on the clock in 02.
I put a 2.5" cat back on it and took it to Bill Towler where it ran 125rwkw.
He said his VS only had 95rwkw and that mine was quick for a V6.
I used to tow my boat with it and drop the clutch in every gear and never had a problem.
But i'd still put my money on the Falcon.....just coz the only place i'd back a holden was over a cliff :
Did it let go on you or did you sell it?
I herd of holden having to power outputs when building these Buick V6's. And someone did say that the older V6's were better at rwkw because of the IRS.

To tell you the truth i traded it on a 96 VS on gas and it was the worst descision i ever made. :
I got a phone call from a bloke one night about 2mths later asking me about the car,I told him it was an awesome car and he wouldn't be disappointed.
I saw the car heaps of times since then and now ive moved away from Adelaide i see the guy has moved to a town near me.
That car and my descision is still haunting me. :

Don't any of your friends have motorbikes or something you can borrow? I don't mind lending you mine but obviously it means I can't run you.
I dunno when I'll take mine out I'm still getting used to it but I want to get out there soonish & see what it runs while it is still stock so I have a baseline to go off.

I dont think there will be much in it - you might launch a little harder if you dont get wheel spin from using the revs, but i think it will be pretty even accelerating to 100.

I think you should smoke him until 100ish and then he MIGHT start pulling away. I was even (sometimes just ahead if I got the jump) in my auto ED against my friend's 5-speed Clubby. Not until 130 he'd just slowly pull away. Mine's 5-speed now, and the difference is amazing. If I got the jump there's no way he'd have me for a long time!!!!

Car is going great, doing a few little bits & pieces to tidy it up but really couldn't be happier (unless I could convince the EPA to let me put a Clevo in
)
Will have to take you for a spin sometime.

HSV's are over rated, my stock ED manual used to pull a car length on my mate's manual 195 cluby, now it's modded I have yet to have any hsv beat me, read any test on the hsv range and you find the ss has a quicker quater than the clubby or senetor.
