As I put on the girls post - please make it a name that isn't a hybrid name, coz the boy may be a bit feminine looking. My BIL has just named their son Tyler Cooper and the family had to ask if it was a boy or a girl as we all know both Tylers and Coopers which are girls (I know more girls with these names than boys).

My father's name is Gehard (he was polish) - he got called Gerry, this is one of the names I'd like in my son's name (Gehard not Gerry). I'm planning on getting both his name and my mother's name (Alfreda) tattoo'd on me at some stage in memory of them (they are both deceased).

As mentioned in the girls names thread, I have a Cameron Robert and a Toby Eamon (see left). Both have different last names. I love both of their first names and Cam's second name is after my Dad (who is a legend) and Toby's second name is his Dad's first name (was easier to pronounce than Eamon's Dad's arabic name, and saved on politics)...

I have always had trouble with boys names too. I sort of like:

Lee
William
Edward/Eddie
Brandon
Bruce
Eric
Tyson
Jackson
Robert
Owen

Good luck with the up and coming birth mate!

A most excellent name!

Can I also recommend Eric, after Eric the 'alibut, or Eric the fruitbat, or Eric the cat, or Eric the half a bee?

I have always liked the name 'Jason' - mainly because my favourite teacher was a Jason...he was cool.

I also like 'Joshua', which is in actual fact my middle name (and I like it better than my actual name 'Shawn').
