Hmm EVO has it over the WRX and STI performance wise, but the WRX/STI look better, have a nicer interior and sound better so I would pick the Subie for slightly less performance but easier to live with day in day out.

I think Rexies look and sound better, but I'm gonna go with the EVO.
One of my old next door neighbour's mates brought his EVO 9 around and I was like WOW. I didn't go for a drive, but he said they do 12 second 1/4 miles stock. : |

AFAIK the Japs are still using the EJ20 twin scroll turbo setup. If I blow an engine I think there is a US EJ257 short block with my name on it. But I don't want to blow an engine cause I've got no money : I think they are in the process of working on a turbo diesel boxer. Now that would rock! I'm just hoping that the WRX/STi come out on top come the next model. Last edited by MITCHAY; 05-02-2007 at 08:58 AM. |

There are rumours the WRX is getting dropped :(
They sell a lot of STi's and I know a lot of people often say why not fork out for the STi. This could be a good thing if assuming most of the population that buys a WRX can afford an STi but they don't, and bad if it's the complete opposite. Basically no in the middle between Impreza and STi. |

You don't blow the box unless you punish it. Dump is bad mkay! : If you want to dump, you get the 6 speed or a PPG gearset. HD clutch on the stock box is bad too! |

I use to own an RSK-B4 Subrau so I'll go for them, never owned a Mitsubishi, the name alone is rice enough. Didn't Top Gear/5th-Gear do a review on them both. I think from memory the WRX was faster to 100kph but the Evo had more aggression around the track but still ran a slower track time? Not sure so I better not comment. These cars are awesome machines, just that many of us mistake the cars for rice when indeed it's the drivers who are the rice. A stock appearing WRX, Evo or Skyline with engine mods and perhaps some decent (none-chrome) rims is all good IMO. For the record, I myself would never own or buy one. My 0.02c

Is that because they are comparing WRX to EVO or STi to EVO though? WRX and STi are different cars. Quote:

Nah I'm sure most people assume that we are comparing STI to EVO. I voted for EVO. I have been looking around for a decent EVO VI. The only thing that lets them down is the cheap interior. |

pretty sure even topgear said the evo was better
the evo looks better, wrx is old, and everyone has impreza and claims its a WRX subaru's only good car is the liberty, if it wasnt for the falcon i would have bought one so thats why the evo wins

Evo hands down, and I have to be frank and say I am voting purely on looks.
