nothing wrong with 500rwkws. Should be enough to achieve the desired effect.. BA turbos have been done to death time for something different I think..

Buy a topfuel engine, and put that in. The bonnet *may* need to modified. Do you think the tickford air intake would do on it? Or would it be better off with the ss induction one?

anything over 350 rwkw and it will pull the front of an AU apart..THe spot welds will do a Fast and Furious and rip thru. You'd want to fully seem weld the car then hope to hell after a few launches you can still open all the doors :P

I know you want to use the SOHC engine but what about going to a BA Spec engine. For the likes of Nizpro and Atomic.

We know what kind of HP the nizpro one pumps out.

I'd be welding the doors shut anyhow... it will need the strength. Wagon flex would be an evil thing with 350rwkw! :

2JZ ftw. Plenty of 1000rwhp street driven supra's in the states. Do a search U tube for Ryan Woon. Runs 8.9's through a factory 6 speed manual box.

my idea would have been to look into both engine, Barra 190 and the AUI6 if both are pretty much the same in strength wise, or you'd have to replace most parts wouldnt the BA having 190kws as appose to 157ish and DOHC vs SOHC gonna be a better starting point?

and instead of wasting money in the engine, what about weight reduction, CF panels or aluminium instead of steel, remove unnecessary components....power windows, aircon (nah gotta have that) cd player, speakers, antenna......just a thought (might even save you some money buy selling that stuff)

Sorry, I meant Ford I6.. typing couldnt keep up with brain.

As for BMW, I dont believe they are even close to a 500rwkw mark for an I6.. but they are all NA anyhow.

unless you are Hugh Hefner and sick of Stabbing Bunnies , and want to waste $100k of your Cash on something that will be less reliable that a Russian Beef Farmers Wife , Then it wont be worth it ...

Maybe with the 8 , Twin Turbo and Let it fly , but dosing the i6 will make you cry ..

A nice v8 sounds like the go.It will be probably easier and cheaper with a big v8 turbo setup..
