Ok, here it is in black and white.
If its for the drag track it can be very useful and efficient for getting more power cheaply. However there are more effective methods that can also be used on the street for a quick blast. Things like manual quickshifts, auto histalls and shorter diff gears. If it is for the road you would have pretty much guessed that its a dumb move and wont be supported on these forums. Check out the "power adders" area of this forum, it may help you with your questions.
